Flexa Cloud and AWS bring together executives to discuss Generative AI in São Paulo

On November 21st, Flexa Cloud brought together business and technology professionals for a conversation about Generative Artificial Intelligence. The event took place at the restaurant Hidden Rincon, in Vila Madalena, in São Paulo.

During a special dinner, meeting participants were able to exchange ideas about the Generative AI revolution in the business world. And the conversation was led by Flexa's chief scientist, Deivid Bitti Padilha.

Executives from the companies Assurant, Bauducco, Datasystem, Dengo, Engeform, Indra Energia, MKT55, MEDZ, Potencia School, Roadcard, Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras and Tecnisa were present.

Check out a breakdown of how this meeting went below.

Flexa and AWS united for the best use of Generative AI

The event was held in conjunction with Amazon Web Services (AWS), a company of which Flexa Cloud is a partner. It presented the concepts and innovations that are already underway in the market, as well as success stories from the two companies.

Bravante Group Case

In addition to the conceptual presentation, Deivid Bitti also presented the Bravante RRC project which, with the help of AWS and Flexa, is using Generative AI to find deactivated oil pipelines.

This project is quite innovative, as an AI-based application was developed to perform automated document analysis and determine the exact location of sections that must be removed from the ocean. As a result, in addition to reducing manual work, the company gains much more accuracy in this process, called decommissioning.

Case Indra Energia

The case of Indra Energia was also presented, which, with the support of AWS and Flexa, is taking advantage of Generative AI to automate the extraction and standardization of information from various energy bills, replacing the previous manual process.

In detail, the process is divided into two steps: the first transforms the data into text readable by the platform, and the second adds semantics to the data. This approach allows the identification of more than 180 different document templates, all containing the same data but presented in different ways.

In this case, AI is helping to identify data and its semantic context, facilitating the management of new customers without the need for manual data collection.

To develop the platform, Flexa Cloud used two layers of AI. The first, based on Amazon Textract, extracts data from documents in various formats, converting images into text and returning information with high precision, such as customer personal data, consumption history, invoice details, among others.

The second layer uses Amazon Bedrock for generative AI, essential for semantic processing of information. The Claude-2 foundational model, from Anthropic, was chosen for its accuracy in Brazilian Portuguese.

The architecture also includes Amazon S3 for secure and temporary storage of energy bills and Amazon Aurora in PostgreSQL to store platform data in a structured way.

A gastronomic experience, to remember that human relationships will always come first

As Deivid Bitti, from Flexa Cloud, highlighted at the beginning of the event, “Artificial Intelligence cannot replace human relationships”.

It was in this spirit that the more than 30 present were able to expand their network and exchange ideas. They did this by enjoying dinner and taking a class on making chimichurri with parrilla.
