Alexa+: The New Generation of Amazon's Personal Assistant

The first time I interacted with Alexa, I felt like the future had arrived. I simply asked it to play a song, and intuitively and naturally, it worked. Since then, the assistant has evolved and now takes an even bigger leap: Alexa+, powered by generative AI, becomes more conversational, intelligent, and capable of performing tasks autonomously.

What changes with Alexa+?

With the new version, the assistant goes beyond simple answers and becomes a true support in your daily life. It can:

  • Summarize complex topics and interact on different subjects;
  • Manage smart home devices;
  • Make reservations and appointments automatically;
  • Track artist releases and recommend personalized content;
  • Make purchases and suggest items based on your interests.

More natural and personalized interactions

Alexa+ is designed to interpret conversations fluidly, understanding colloquial expressions and unfinished thoughts. It also has contextual memory: it can remember family food preferences to suggest compatible recipes or restaurants.

Another new feature is its ability to act autonomously. Need an oven repaired? Alexa+ browses the web, finds a reliable service, schedules the repair, and notifies you when it's complete, all without the need for supervision.

Privacy and device integration

The assistant remains integrated with devices like the Echo Show and Fire TV, expanding its reach into the home, car, and office. Furthermore, Amazon ensures transparency and security, allowing users to manage their interactions via the Alexa Privacy Dashboard.

Availability

Alexa+ will cost $19,99 per month, but will be available free to Prime members. The rollout will begin in the US in the coming weeks and will expand progressively.

The new generation of personal assistants has arrived. How do you imagine using Alexa+ in your daily life?
