AWS has also made 3 more local zones available in Boston, Houston and Miami and plans to open 12 more in 2021 including New York, Chicago and Atlanta. With this, it seeks to allow access with single-digit millisecond latency for the vast majority of users.

New AWS Lambda Pricing Model

AWS Lambda was priced based on the number of times the code is fired and the number of times the code is executed, rounded to the nearest 100 milliseconds.

Going forward, AWS announced, pricing will be calculated based on duration rounded to the nearest millisecond, with no minimum execution time.
